We brought our little dog, and they offered to look after him while we used the sauna and hot tub. The owner invited us to look at the stars through his telescope and was happy to talk to us at length.”

  The staff were friendly and made the best out of the situation given there was a huge powercut for the majority of the day. They did make good use of their options and we were able to purchase food from the BBQ and pizza oven. The lodge itself was wonderful and modern with lots of great extras like high chair, travel cot which are great when travelling with a baby. I just would have liked to be able to experience it with full use of the lodge and facilities on site

  Due to local powercut we lost the majority of our first day as there was no electricity on the site which was a shame as we wanted to make full use of the facilities on the camp including our lodge especially the hot tub. we were travelling with a baby also so things like warming milk etc wasn’t possible. It was a shame this during our stay

  The rooms where clean and tidy very spacious had everything needed.. towels an iron and ironing board. really nice bathrooms that have privacy too unlike some i have visited with just frosted glass doors very good lighting around the mirror too for the girlys... would recomend to any one whos looking for a hotel on a budget or a quick visit stay in manchester

  The art around the tv being wonky made it hard to look at but the room was an amazing size for the price clean tidy beds not so

  We have stayed here on a few occasions, and have always found it to be a fantastic stay, the owner is extremely sociable and accommodating, found that nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need to make your stay.

  The heating in the room was on constant and no way of turning it down. When we opened the window for cool air we discovered we were next to the beer cooling machines which were on/off all night
