Set 1.5 km from the town of Koli, Kolin Lotus Cottages are located close to Lake Pielinen. These self-catering, semi-detached cottages have a children’s playground and BBQ facilities. It was much cosier than in the pictures and was spotlessly clean. This small resort functioned like a well oiled machine and the caretaker was on hand offering assistance/ taking conscientious care of ploughing the snow to aid our exit and entry to the property. It was very very cold when we visited and the snow was mounding up continuously, but there was firewood on tap and the sauna was wonderful. and the view/ position amongst the trees was just idyllic. The cabins are in the perfect location for visiting Koli national park; witnessing the crown snow load alone was worth the drive from Helsinki. For anyone doing the same be aware that driving in the snow can increase the predicted driving time by 1/3!

A very well designed, well lighted, and clean place. It was cozy and comfortable. In addition to everything you may need in your daily life, the apartment had some extra features such as the motorized bed function and the capsule coffee machine which I loved. Communication with the host was also smooth. And the location of the apartment is awesome. It doesn't even take 2 mins to reach the city center square. Overall it was a great experience!

Nastanitev B&B Aittoranta se nahaja v mestu Puolanka in ponuja brezplačen WiFi, vrt, skupni prostor za druženje ter teraso. Na voljo sta tudi hladilnik in grelnik za vodo. Beautiful location next to a big lake with very kind and generous owners and a very nice cat called Aslan. The building itself has a very interesting history as it used to be a school in the past. We enjoyed staying there very much and miss the place and Puoalanka. Thank you very much for the great hospitality!!

Well furnished and with a nice sauna and balcony. The host was very friendly and instructions to get in were clear. Parking space inside the building, and manuals on how to use the different appliances and tools are provided. Very recommended!

Very comfortable and spacious room with fantastic kitchen equipment and tech accessories. A word about breakfast: there were enough things in the room for a nice breakfast (coffee, tea, juice, milk, fruit, eggs, porridge and müssli + blueberry soup, but if you want bread, salami, cheese, etc. bring your own). Located in a nice residental neighbourhood about 10 minutes from the centre of Kuopio by car.
